      Class List Management

      Class List Management

Class list management is largely separate from timetable generation – although not from lines generation – but it must be completed before timetables are published. Elective classes and core classes are dealt with at different stages of the process.

      Elective Classes

After lines have been finalised and students recounselled, it is common for students to change their minds.

      • Add or remove classes from lines as required and then shuffle students again.
      • If there are a large number of changes, it may be that you should consider reconfiguring the lines.

      Core and Composite Classes

Students can be allocated to these classes at any time during the timetabling process. Ideally, share the load (if your software allows). For example, year level coordinators or faculty coordinators can manage class lists within their own area of responsibility.
